Overhauling & Rewinding

Overhauling & Rewinding

Synergy Global provides complete overhaul and rewinding support for low- and medium-voltage motors, generators, and other industrial rotating equipment. Each scope begins with documented inspection and condition assessment so that the repair plan addresses the actual electrical and mechanical causes of failure.

Inspection and overhaul scope

Equipment is dismantled in a controlled sequence, cleaned, visually inspected, and checked for winding damage, core condition, shaft and bearing wear, insulation deterioration, and signs of overheating or contamination. Findings are recorded before repair recommendations are issued.

Rewinding and restoration

Where rewinding is required, winding data is captured before removal. Replacement coils and insulation systems are selected to suit the machine duty, operating voltage, thermal class, and service environment. Mechanical components are repaired or replaced as required before controlled assembly.

Testing and handover

Completed equipment is subjected to the applicable electrical and mechanical checks, which may include insulation resistance, winding resistance, surge comparison, no-load run testing, vibration measurement, and final dimensional verification. A service report records the completed work and test results.

Service Highlights

  • Incoming inspection and documented condition assessment
  • Controlled coil removal, rewinding, insulation, and varnish treatment
  • Mechanical inspection of shafts, bearings, housings, and cooling systems
  • Final electrical and mechanical testing with service documentation
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which equipment can be overhauled and rewound?

We support a wide range of low- and medium-voltage motors, generators, and associated rotating equipment. Final acceptance depends on machine rating, dimensions, winding design, condition, and the required test scope.

How do you decide whether a winding should be repaired or replaced?

The decision is based on visual inspection, insulation condition, winding resistance, core condition, contamination, thermal damage, and the extent of the failure. We provide findings and a recommended repair scope before major work proceeds.

Will the original winding data be recorded?

Yes. Coil pitch, turns, conductor size, connections, phase arrangement, and other relevant winding details are captured before stripping whenever the original winding condition allows.

What documentation is supplied after completion?

The handover package can include inspection findings, repair details, replaced parts, winding information, applicable test results, photographs, and recommendations for installation or future maintenance.
